Physicans are key to the success of Babies First. The Fresno County Deparment of Community Health Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health offers assistance and consultation for perinatal providers as they address the needs of pregnant mothers, infants and their families. Public Health Nurses from Babies First make home visits to pregnant women, new moms and their babies. These case management services are offered to high risk parents with children up to 2 years of age.

The Fresno County Department of Community Health, Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Division provides technical assistance and consultation to perinatal providers in implementing this simple screening into their regular maternal care program, including staff inservice opportunities and billing options for Medi-Cal's Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program (CPSP).
