Babies First is a community-wide effort to improve the health and well-being of mothers, babies and families in Fresno County.

Good News from Babies First

More babies are born healthy and strong. More mothers, fathers and families are able to watch their babies grow and celebrate the priceless gift of life with them. That's because more mothers are getting the care and support they need thanks to Babies First. After six years of hard work, Babies First has helped reduce the rates of babies dying in many of our neighborhoods by more than 50%.

Our Work Must Continue

There is still work to be done. Born too small or too soon, too many babies continue to die. Low birth weight is the number one cause of infant mortality.

Our work must continue. Too many pregnant and parenting women aren't getting the care and support they need.
